Design for the edit
The best site in the world is useless if your team can’t update it. Build for the people who’ll live in it.
A lot of beautiful websites quietly rot. Not because the design was bad, but because the day the agency left, nobody in the building could change a word without breaking the layout. So nothing changes, the news page freezes in time, and the site slowly stops being true.
We think that’s a design failure, not a client one. If a site can only be maintained by its makers, it wasn’t finished — it was rented.
Build for the second author
So we design for the person who’ll edit it, not just the person who’ll admire it. That means components that still look right when the copy is longer than the placeholder, images that behave whatever gets uploaded, and a CMS set up so a normal human can add a post or swap a headline without a developer.
Hand over the keys
At the end we don’t just deliver a site; we hand over control of it. Accounts, access, a short walkthrough, and a structure that makes the safe path the easy path. You shouldn’t have to come back to us for a typo — though we’re glad to be there for the big stuff.
A site you can’t update is a liability with nice fonts. Design for the edit and it stays alive long after launch.
